Dr Eben Lourens BChD (Stellenbosch) studied dentistry in South Africa.

He owned a dental practice and lived in Cape Town before moving to Launceston with his wife and children in 2009. After working at Riverside Family Dental for the last three years he felt the time was right to open a practice in beautiful Legana. Eben enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a special interest in root canal treatment and aesthetic dentistry. The best part of his work is meeting new and interesting people while being of service.

He is an enthusiastic fisherman and enjoys spending time on the water. Sport interests includes virtually anything associated with a ball.

Theo graduated at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, in 2002.

In 2011, Dr Nel and his young family decided to emigrate to Australia . Theo sold his practice and moved to beautiful Tasmania. He passed the Australian Dental Council examination in 2012 and has been working in the public and private sector in Launceston from 2011 until the decision was made to open a new practice in Legana in 2016. Theo is now practicing at Legana Dental on a full time basis and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a special interest in restorative dentistry.

In his free time, Theo enjoys gardening with his wife Hybre and exploring Tasmania with his two young children.

Dr Richard Allen BDS, MFDS is originally from Ireland and studied dentistry in Glasgow, graduating in 2000.

Richard spent one year in general dental practice followed by seven years in hospital based practice in Oral and Maxillofacial units in the UK. In 2003 he spent a year as an associate Lecturer in Oral Surgery at the University of Sydney. Richard restricts his practice to surgical procedures related dentistry such as wisdom tooth removal.

He has lived in Northern Tasmania since 2009, dividing his working time between Oral Health Services Tasmania and private practice. He enjoys rural life on a small local property with his wife daughter, dogs, sheep, ponies and chickens.

Rachel has worked in the dental industry since 2010. Rachel started her working career as a Dental Assistant and has now moved into a senior manager role as Practice Manager.

In Rachel's spare time she likes to go to her family shack at Bridport with her partner and their beautiful big dog, Gus.

She enjoys hanging out with her friends and making the most of her weekends off.

Born in Adelaide, Kelly started her dental career in the Defence Force in 2001.

After meeting her husband in the Army they both discharged and moved to Tasmania in 2005. Kelly has worked as a dental assistant in both the public and private sector.

Kelly and her husband Matt have two beautiful children and love living the in the West Tamar. Kelly’s hobbies include; gardening, horse riding and family outings.

Bec grew up in Ringarooma in the North East.

She boarded in Launceston for college and then later moved to Burnie with her twin sister. For 2 years Bec worked as a dental assistant in Burnie. She recently made the move back to Launceston and now lives in Legana with her partner.

She enjoys cooking and being outdoors as much as she can and heads to the family home frequently.

Olivia completed her traineeship with Oral Health Services Tasmania and has been working as a Dental Assistant for 4 years. She has worked in both public and private practice, and with various specialists.

Olivia is a bookworm and loves a good book and cup of tea. She enjoys cooking, especially desserts, and spending time with friends and family.

Olivia enjoys going camping and motorbike riding with her partner.
